Now that the Pentax K-x has been out for about seven months it is starting to show up in some popular photography magazines. I went to my local newsstand and picked up the May issues of “Popular Photography” and “Shutterbug” and found the K-x mentioned on the cover of both.

Popular Photography magazine calls the Pentax K-x a
Budget-minded shooters seeking a fullfeatured body and a great lens family.
Thats me. The K-x was a situated at a perfect price point for me to finally get into digital SLR photography. Now the problem is that I want so much gear! So many lenses to choose from, but the fact that the Pentax K-x supports all older Pentax lenses was definitely a nice touch for me when deciding which camera to purchase. I frequently use an old SMC Pentax-A 1:2 50mm lens. It is really fun to experiment with, and you can find them used for about $25.

Shutterbug Magazine calls the Pentax K-x an
ideal camera for those point-and-shoot users on a budget who want to graduate to a quality SLR that uses interchangeable lenses.
Again, pretty much the same thing, but its true. The Pentax K-x is an excellent budget digital SLR for those looking to get into digital SLR photography.
These reviews confirm what I (and many other kx users) already know. The Pentax K-x is a great starter digital SLR camera. I know the K-x has been getting a lot of really good online press, but to see some well known printed publications giving it the thumbs up is nice. I want others to have as much fun with this camera as I do, so like to see it get more exposure.
