I was always curious about the size and body differences, so here are some photos of the two hanging out together.
So as you know, I have just invested in a Pentax flash for my kit. I deemed it a necessary piece of equipment if I wanted to be serious about photography. The examples of flash photography around the web proved to me that it changed the way you can take photographs. I was bumming around the Pentax Beginner’s Forum on pentaxforums.com and found a link to a handy Pentax lens reference. It explains what all the different series of lenses are called and how they work. A good link, check it out here.
Selecting a digital camera brand is a difficult task. Once you purchase your camera and buy a few lenses for it you are pretty much with that brand for the long haul! (Unless you have tons of money lying around) One thing that drew me to the Pentax brand was the fact that you could use all these old lenses with their new digital SLRs. There is just a little bit of extra setup you have to do to use an older lens with the K-x, and an article on Pentax’s support site explains how to do it. Link and instructions after the jump. When the Pentax K-x was announced there was some debate as to why Pentax chose to make it run off 4 AA batteries as opposed to a proprietary battery unit. A lot of users prefer to use a proprietary rechargeable battery. Well, both options have their advantages and disadvantages.
