As people we communicate through photographs, and this one really put a “face” on the Gulf Oil Spill for me. Makes me sad that our mistakes lead to the suffering of animals, and this photograph really drove home the scale of this disaster. Hopefully we can intervene and decrease the environmental impact before it is too late.

I took some close up photos with the new Sigma lens. Not a true macro lens, but you can get pretty close to your subject. Read the rest of this entry »
